How To Cook Fish Escabeche | Sweet And Sour Fish | Food Hack Thursday

Welcome another video in my Cooking Thursday Playlist :)

Ingredients:

1 whole fish (snapper)
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon ground pepper
1escabeche mix
1⁄4water
1 cup carrots
1 cup red bell pepper

DIRECTIONS:
1. Clean the fish and slit it open. Let it stand for few minutes and drain well.
2. Sprinkle fish with 1 tbsp salt.
3. In a medium skillet, heat the oil and fry the fish until golden brown. Remove the fish from the pan and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, sauté onion until translucent, garlic until light brown.
6. Stir in ginger, carrots and red bell pepper.
7. Dilute the escabeche mix in 3/4 cup water (or as instructed)
8. Salt and pepper to taste.
9 When the mixture boils wait until It thickens. Then, add the fish.
10. Flip the fish on the other side
11. Simmer for 5 minutes.
