The film is centered around a young man called Liam who himself is struggling a lot with really bad nightmares almost every night. His father decides to send him out to the countryside to his Grandmother and Grandfather far within the fjords of Norway to get away from the city and the busy everyday life. At the house in the fjord he finds his dead mothers diary where he discovers that she secretly struggled with the same nightmares that he does now many years later. The more and more he dives into the diary he finds it harder and harder to distinguish between dreams and reality. He is afraid he is destined to have the same fate as his mother.
