How THIS MTB Trail CHANGED My Life (4K) // Mt. Tzouhalem Vancouver Island POV: Flow, GNAR, Jumps
My mission is to inspire as many people as I can, to get into, or at least try, this activity which has slowly become my lifestyle. Mountain Biking is not just a sport to me. It's a community that I get to be a part of, and the benefits I reap from a weekly ride are incomparable to anything I can fathom.

This life changing moment for me was at the bottom of this trail, in the Cowichan Valley in British Columbia, over 2 years ago. It was actually my second time on Mt. Tzouhalem, sadly the first time, I was unable to find this trail, due to the in-existance of signage, but that’s all fixed now thanks to the Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society. And while my first experience here wasn’t mind blowing, I came back to find this dream trail everyone was talking about. 3 months later, I was back, still with my same walmart hardtail unsure of what would lie ahead. We headed to the top to finally find the start of this oddly named trail “Double D”, which at this younger age, was unaware of the real meaning...We started down and I instantly knew, this would be the first of many adventures not only on this trail, but on hundreds around the province and beyond. Before this trail, I wasn’t really sold on the sport. I was riding trails too difficult for my level, on a bike meant for nothing more than a home-to-school commute. But over the 5 or 10 minutes I spent cruising down that mountain, I felt like I was on the top of the world.
I’ve been back here dozens of times since, and will be back dozens more. Mountain biking has become more than a sport to me. It’s become a place to rest from my daily life, and be re-energized for the next week. A place to connect with friends, and now family. It’s become a place to spiritually connect with my Father in heaven. It’s kept me healthy, physically, and mentally. I could go on for days. After seeing how Mountain biking has changed my life, I am now on a mission for it to change others. Through my local Trail society, and my local bike shops, I’m able to reach my community and share my story with them. This video is a part of that and I hope you’ve enjoyed my story, as well as my hopefully entertaining content. I’m going to stop blabbaring because I could talk all day, if you want to chat, I’ll put a link to my Facebook, and Instagram in the description where you can reach me, and maybe I’ll even catch you on the trails! I’ll let you keep watching the video, as we transition into another famous trail on the mountain, and be sure to stay to the end where we check out a big new feature on the mountain. Thanks for stickin around, and enjoy the rest of the video!
