LVT Landscape Live - a roadmap for local land value tax advocacy

How can you kick-start advocacy for a land value tax (LVT) shift in your local community?
In this first-ever LVT Landscape Live, speakers from the Progress & Poverty Institute and Center for Land Economics demonstrated that LVT is urgently-needed, and is a pragmatic and achievable policy. We outlined the key steps that advocates should take to get started in their local community, including: understand the legal context; check the land valuations; run the numbers; tell a compelling story; and build a coalition of allies. Recorded on 9/26/25.

The Progress & Poverty Foundation (PPI) is a private operating foundation, founded in 1925, to promote public awareness of the social philosophy and economic reforms advocated by famed 19th century thinker and activist, Henry George. Today, PPI remains true to its founding doctrine, and through efforts focused on education, communities, outreach, and publishing, works to create a world in which all people are afforded the basic necessities of life and the natural world is protected for generations to come.
