We have become accustomed to the linear format of time and life. This means that we think that life moves in a straight line and of course we hope it moves at an upward angle. Onward, forward and up, up, up, we hope for never-ending growth. We think that the stairs of a career only go up, but in real life, we don’t only take the stairs up.

Let’s not forget that only a few hundred years ago we lived in cycles according to nature. Consciousness does not evolve as quickly as do science and other feats of society thanks to which we live the modern lifestyle today. Each year we have something new, something improved which previous civilizations did not have. We have got used to things getting more and more improvements to improve the comfort of our everyday lives.
