Years before LeBron James opened the I Promise School, NBA veteran Trevor Booker and his college teammate-turned-business partner Jonah Baize opened Combine Academy in Charlotte for international students. Since then, they’ve placed dozens of kids at Division I schools while building a business empire that includes ownership of or investments in more than 20 companies together in multiple states and Puerto Rico across sports, education, entertainment, tech, fashion, real estate and more.
