Traditional Mujaddara Recipe - طريقة عمل مجدرة - Episode 78

Mujaddara is such a go-to meal for most Arabs. Of course it's quick and easy but more than likely you have everything you need to make this dish in your pantry RIGHT NOW! All you need are lentils, rice, cumin and onions and you're on your way to a fabulous, flavorful and healthy meal! I always love eating this with a side salad and pickles but sometimes people eat it with yogurt as well. Give this a try and don't forget to send me a picture on instagram when you do!

Ingredients:
1 cup large green/brown lentils, rinsed thoroughly and sifted for stones
1 cup jasmine rice, rinsed thoroughly
3 cups water
1 tablespoon cumin
4 onions, cut into half-moons
3 tablespoons olive oil for frying onions
Salt to taste
