Following the death of Queen Elizabeth 1st England looks to King James Vl of Scotland. The story begins in 1601 at Greenwich palace where a troubled Robert Cecil begins his scheme to ensure not only his own life and future is secure but also to protect the legacy left by his father during Queen Elizabeth's long reign.
