How to find a speaker measurement's slope in Smaart
When performing a crossover alignment, you may want to start by calculating the current slope before making any changes. I can think of four different ways to do that:
1. Find the frequency where the magnitude starts to roll off. What is the attenuation one octave away?
2. Measure a filter through your DSP or DAW and make the pictures match.
3. Open in REW. Shift+click and drag.
4. Open the EQ window in REW. Observe a filtered target. Make the pictures match.

I love to geek out about the physics of sound. This channel focuses on the growing opportunity for live sound engineers to improve their confidence and consistency through the understanding of the principles of sound system design and optimization. My goal is to make this channel upfront and honest about my success and failure, so you can learn from both.
I am always open to suggestions and feedback so please comment on this video or contact me through my site.
