In memory of "General" João Seria

The São Tomé singer 'General João Seria', singer of the group África Negra, passed away on Thursday May 4 - 2023 at the age of 74 in São Tomé

Gabriel João, known in music as 'General João Seria' has more than 50 years of career in music, which began in the 1960s, on the island of Príncipe, in the Cabana group, through 'Sangazuza' and África Negra, whose he was lead singer on the main stage and performed several international concerts, becoming one of the biggest names in São Tomé music.

With the group/band África Negra, João Seria gave voice to great musical successes, including the songs "Aninha", "Carambola", "Maia Muê".
