Budget Defender Door Seals: Do The Cheapest Ones Actually Work?

I fitted Budget door seals on my Land Rover Defender TD5 to replace the passenger side seal, due to the door intermittently not closing the first time. I didn't need to replace the driver's side, but the pack came as a pair, so I replaced both.
