Why do we still read Shakespeare — honestly? #theatreliteracy

Three honest reasons. First — the language: Shakespeare invented between 1,700 and 2,000 words we still use today, including bedroom, lonely, generous, and addiction. Second — the characters: psychologically true in ways most writers four centuries later still cannot match. Third — the range: tragedy, comedy, history, romance, kings and clowns, everything in between. Not because someone decided. Because he earned it.
