Michigan State Parks 100: McLain

McLain State Park is unique as it's located on a peninsula sticking out of another peninsula because it's on the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. At the mouth of the Portage River, the park is near the twin cities of Houghton and Hancock and offers a wide variety of camping sites and styles at its campground. If you have been there before but it has been a while, the campground will look quite different thanks to the erosion that has occurred over the years.
