Jacob Zuma Exposes ANC Secrets in Shocking Interview: You Don’t Know Half of What Happened indoors

former president Jacob Zuma shattered years of ANC silence and secrecy, revealing alleged internal manipulation, covert political deals, and systemic betrayal within the ruling party.

Sitting calmly at his Nkandla homestead, Zuma appeared relaxed — but what he had to say was anything but. Speaking to veteran journalist Thandi Dlamini in a no-holds-barred, hour-long special on eNews Exclusive, Zuma made bold claims about the ANC’s inner workings, painting a picture of a liberation movement that has “lost its way” and “forgotten the people.”

They want to pretend I was the problem,” Zuma said, gesturing with his trademark grin. “But I will tell you now — I was small compared to what some of them have done. They just knew how to smile in front of the media.

Zuma claimed that several senior ANC leaders, some still holding cabinet positions today, were part of a secret “strategy group” that manipulated party conferences, staged loyalty purges, and even influenced court outcomes through backdoor lobbying.

There were decisions being made long before conferences began,” he said. “People didn’t vote with their minds. They voted with threats hanging over their heads.
He alleged that Ramaphosa’s rise to power was not purely democratic but the result of “external influence” from wealthy donors and foreign interests.

They sold the party to big business. Simple. The CR17 campaign wasn’t just about money — it was about control.
Zuma hinted at international interests shaping domestic ANC policies, especially in areas like energy, land reform, and economic restructuring.

When we talked about radical economic transformation, they laughed. But it wasn’t a joke. They were scared because it threatened the people funding them.
The former president didn’t stop there. He claimed that those who screamed loudest about corruption were often the ones benefiting most from “quiet tenders and offshore accounts.

There are comrades who became millionaires overnight — not when I was president, but when the cameras were pointing at me while they were looting quietly in the background.
Zuma said he kept quiet for years out of loyalty to the movement. But he now feels “betrayed and discarded.”

They used me as a shield. Then, when they were done, they threw me to the wolves to protect themselves.
Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya dismissed Zuma’s claims as “a theatrical distraction from a man desperate to rewrite history.

President Ramaphosa’s leadership has always been rooted in accountability and transparency. These desperate accusations are unfounded and clearly timed to influence public sentiment.
