To brighten up her tiny, dreary home, Meredith used daring decor in calculated spaces. She defined the foyer with large-scale wallpaper, which opens up to the dining room. In the combined dining and living room, a neutral base allowed Meredith to layer on bright color and playful prints. Not one, but two tablecloths cover the dining table for a quirky take on pattern play. Furniture in different scales makes the rooms look taller than they are. Meredith used an unconventional color palette in the master bedroom, choosing darker shades like indigo. A reupholstered headboard adds a pop of peach, while malachite green night tables are an unexpected element. The bathroom’s small size allowed Meredith to splurge on luxurious finishes, like marble herringbone floors.
