Tax Me 70% and I’ll Fire My 150 Employees & Go Golfing

Tax Me 70% and I’ll Fire My 150 Employees & Go Golfing

Peter Schiff at Occupy Wall Street drops a hard truth:
A protester demands 70–74% tax on income above $2 million.
Schiff replies:
“Once my income hits $2 million I would stop working for the year.
I would furlough all my employees and say I’m not going to work for 30 cents on the dollar. I’m playing golf. I’ll see you next February.”
This is why high taxes don’t just “tax the rich” — they destroy jobs and stop people from creating more wealth.

For ordinary people who want to build real money:
Understand that real capitalism rewards solving problems for others — not punishing success.
Invest only in wonderful businesses that create jobs and real free cash flow (not government-dependent ones).
Use the exact 4-pillar method from The Value Investing Playbook (Meaning, Moat, Management, Margin of Safety) so you own real companies at fair prices instead of hoping for bailouts or subsidies.

High taxes change behaviour. Smart investors focus on businesses that thrive no matter what Washington does.
Big shoutout to @ReasonTV for this classic and honest clip.
