WT - Analyze This 02: Energy Fighting problems

This video looks at replays sent by an effective & aggressive low altitude fighter pilot who runs into difficulties when he climbs and tries to use energy tactics.

This shows a common problem faced by many players, and one that I've struggled with too - what to do with an altitude advantage once you've gained it? Razer, the featured pilot in this video, turns from a confident aggressive pilot into a timid one who tries to engage with defensive tactics such as rope a dopes, when simply continuing his aggressive approach would be far more likely to yield success.

Altitude is a powerful tool that can be used to destroy enemy planes, but its exactly that - a tool, its not an end in itself. An altitude advantage is best used to close quickly on enemies, prevent them from climbing and engage them at high speed. Hopefully the video will help clarify things and assist us all in improving our flying.
