Steinway Unboxing Video: Brand new Hamburg Steinway Model D Nine-Foot Concert Grand Piano Unboxing

VSO kicks off new century with "once in a generation" event: the unveiling of a brand new Hamburg Steinway, Nine-foot Model D Concert Grand Piano. To make the transatlantic voyage safely, the Steinway was secured to a pallet, carefully wrapped, packed and boxed. Upon arrival in Canada, the piano was transported to the Tom Lee warehouse in Richmond where it spent a month acclimatizing before making the final journey to its new home at the Orpheum Theatre.

This weekend, Russian virtuoso Daniil Trifonov, one of the best pianists in the world today will perform one of the world's most challenging piano concertos — Rachmaninoff No.3 — on the new Steinway.
