A pearl garnish? A Trader Vic's cocktail in the rare glass that it was served in [Tahitian Pearl]

Victor Bergeron was the king of cocktail presentation in the tiki world. This may be one of his most elegant cocktails. It's basically a daiquiri with maraschino liqueur, but served over ice. I still can't understand why this isn't a cocktail that was served 'up.' Perhaps he needed the ice to support the garnish? Let me know what you think in the comments. This is drink that is well worth trying at home.

To make the the drink in the video you will need:
--------------------------------------
1oz fresh lime juice
1/4oz rock candy syrup
1/4oz maraschino liqueur
1oz light Puerto Rican rum

Shake with ice cubes. Pour with small ice cubes, into tiki stem champagne compote. Decorate with a pearl on a gardenia petal.
