Materials needed:
Cut 2 - 5ft. lengths of 1.5mm leather cord
button
1/0 or 2/0 seed beads
large hole beads or chain links - that two cords can pass through
Note: These are the kinds of beads that I used czech seed bead in 1/0 - 2/0 - 4/0. Other options are matubo, miyuki and czech crow roller beads. I bought most of my beads from Joann's, A.C.Moore, Micheal's shipwreckbeads.com and czechbeadsexclusive.com.
Note: I am using leather cord but other stiff cords can be used. You just need a stiff cord that can make open loops and won't collapse like soft cord does. You will have more bead options if you use the thinner 1mm leather cord. I personal prefer the thicker look of 1.5mm leather.
Note: Before you buy any beads check on your own collection you might already have beads with large enough holes. I found some round glass beads that fit on to 1mm leather cord in my stash. Here are some bead alternative with large holes gemstones, lampwork glass, wood beads, ceramic beads, bone beads and acrylic beads.
