How To Learn Software Development | Simple Strategy to Learn Coding

When learning a programming language or framework, there are typically two approaches:

1️⃣ Hands-on Learning – Diving in, experimenting, and building something practical. Most developers recommend this approach.

2️⃣ Passive Learning – Watching tutorials, reading documentation, and absorbing knowledge before writing any code.

While hands-on experience is essential, I take a different approach—I dedicate **70% of my time to passive learning first.

### Why?
- Building takes time – A common mistake developers (and project managers) make is underestimating the effort required to build a fully functional system.
- Bugs & roadblocks – Jumping in too soon can lead to frustration, confusion, and unnecessary detours.
- Skill awareness – You might unknowingly take the wrong path, missing key concepts needed for success.

By passively learning first, you eliminate much of the trial and error, sharpening your knowledge before tackling real projects—like sharpening your axe before cutting the tree. 🪓🌲
