How to Fix Whirlpool Washer Leaking Water While Off (Replace $22 Valve W10683603!)

I had an issue with a clothes washer, leaking water into the tub while the washer was off. The washer happened to be a whirlpool manufactured one. By identifying the valve, I was able to order a replacement, and then install that one.
