How long can Keir Starmer survive as four Cabinet ministers tell him to set out a resignation timetable?

Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper is reported to have been alongside Shabana Mahmood at the meeting.

It comes after four government aides resigned, as they joined dozens of Labour MPs calling for Sir Keir Starmer to stand down following a disastrous set of local election results.

The resignations came within hours of the prime minister making a speech promising sweeping changes, which was designed to unite the party.
