Shoeing General Pleasure Horse with Severe Separation from Previous Abscess

Watch these series of clips (from March 2021) with Hank Chisholm, CJF shoeing a general pleasure horse (Annabelle) with severe separation from a previous abscess in July of 2020. Annabelle was shod in July 2020 and received no hoof care until March of 2021.

Regular hoof care for horses, by a qualified farrier is so important. We don't know the circumstances leading up to the original abscess issue, but it was clear over seven months later that no further care had been given. Kudos to to Hank for his ability to deal with neglected, damaged hooves.
Annabelle left the shop in much better shape than she came in and we have plans to get her back in April 2021 for the follow up.
