With the recent passing of well known modeler Jim McIntosh back in November of 2018, Legacy Station acquired many pieces from his collection. Kind of fitting really since Legacy Station was Jim's go to store for many years as it is mine and many others in the hobby.

Among the models the store bought was the very first Lionel Visionline model ever made, the massive Santa Fe 2-10-10-2 Mallet.
The model is also weathered and has an Atlas O scale electrocoupler installed. According to Brian Sheffield, Legacy Station's owner, this is likely the only one that has been weathered as so many modelers/collectors wanted to keep it as is because of it's high price from the time it was made back in 2009 which makes this piece even more beautiful and unique.

I'm so glad to have been given a chance to add this rare beast to my fleet and I can't wait to show you all more of it once it arrives from layaway!
