How to sew slant pocket

Cut two rectangular pieces of fabric for the pocket. The length should be slightly longer than the desired pocket depth, and the width should be twice the desired pocket width plus 1 inch for seam allowance.
Fold each piece of fabric in half lengthwise, with the right sides facing each other. Pin the two long edges together and sew a ½ inch seam allowance along each edge, leaving the top open.
Turn the pocket pieces right side out and press the seams flat.
Position the pockets on the side of the trousers where you want them to sit. Pin the pockets in place, making sure they are straight and level with each other.
Sew around the sides and bottom of each pocket, using a ¼ inch seam allowance. Backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam to secure the thread.
Trim any excess fabric from the pocket seam allowance and press the pockets flat.
