A good Unity Camera rig doesn't have be complicated to build. With a little know how, you can make a simple orbit camera rig in Unity 3D with minimal effort. This camera system is flexible enough that it can be used by a variety of genres such as third person games, over the shoulder games, and real time strategies by extending some the basic logic I outline in this tutorial.

This Unity tutorial is geared towards beginners, or experienced Unity users who want to learn more about simple and effective camera rig designs. The inspiration for this camera rig was based off of some of the designs I used to make for film in Autodesk Maya.
