Modded Korg Volca Beats (Bass,snare,toms,hats,pcm,midiout)

In addition to adding the midi out with the use of a breakout cable (a video that I made a few months ago), I've decided to delve in further and found out that quite a few sections had some potential.

I'm aware that there are other people doing these types of mods, but no one is really offering to actually do it for people for a price. (Not that I've noticed anyway).

I have over 15 years of working on audio equipment and I specialize in miniature surface mount work so this device was right up my alley.

The bass drum I've added a descending tone/extra punch feature. Kind of the only way I can describe it.

Snare, I added a capacitor which brings the snap up to its correct level. I've also increase the volume of the snare.

I also add a brightness knob to the snare which may not always be apparent, but in person it definitely adds an extra bite to the top end.

The toms I figured a way to feed white noise into the mix.

While bridging a few resistors with my tweezers I realized that you can make the high hat sound quite different.

Coming up with mods for this thing is not much different than tweaking around with some modular synthesizer.

Anyway I'm going to offer the midi out mod which does not require and added midi out Jack but instead I make a breakout cable and isolate the two unused pins on the midi in. As seen in a video that I made a few months ago.

I will also be offering all of these upgrades plus more as I come across them.

$200 plus shipping
