In this video, I’m checking out Copyparty on Unraid, a lightweight self-hosted file server that focuses on one thing: moving files quickly and reliably. There’s no database, no complicated setup wizard, and no unnecessary features getting in the way. You get a clean web interface, fast uploads and downloads, and straightforward folder-based permissions.

I’ll walk through:
• What Copyparty is and what it’s best at
• Installing Copyparty on Unraid using Docker
• Setting up basic permissions for public, private, and upload-only folders
• Real-world use cases where Copyparty makes more sense than heavier tools

This setup is intentionally LAN-focused. In a follow-up video, I’ll cover how to safely expose Copyparty for remote access using a reverse proxy — without opening things up the wrong way.
