Adding the right ratio of hardener is important!

The typical amount of hardener you should add is 2% — but that can vary depending on the type of product you are using, how you dispense the product, and what the environmental conditions are like.

For example, body filler vs. glaze typically take different amounts of hardener, or you may squeeze out a thinner bead vs. a thicker bead.

Also for your mix ratio, you can adjust it slightly in the summer vs. winter. But a good rule of thumb is to stay in the 1.5% to under 3% range.
