Simple Minds - Big Sleep (KD Remix 2025)

This is a fan-made remix of the classic album track from "New Gold Dream" that was released in 1982. This remix was requested by a listener called @M4RKV5. Thanks for your request. A very good choice.

"New Gold Dream" is probably one of the best albums released in the early 1980s. I cannot think of any weak songs on the album, and in fact, there are so many classics on it. For me, NGD is a band that is achieving greatness. All the elements work and the atmosphere they created is phenomenal. I'm sure this has been said many times about this album.

Before this, I was working on "Hunter and The Hunted" - I am still working on this one. For some reason, I've found it very hard to make it work so far. I believe I will get there though, but it will take a number of iterations. What a fantastic song "Hunter and The Hunted" is.

I remember there was a very gothic looking guy that used to go to a club in Manchester called The Banshee. He had a leather jacket with New Gold Dream painted on the back. He stood out because while all the other goths had the usual suspects painted on their leather jackets, he has Simple Minds. It was an anomaly, but that's fine because NGD is such an iconic album and expands across many genres.

When doing the remix of "Big Sleep" I decided not to have a chunky bass going through it - this is the main difference from the original. If you like the chunky bass then this version may not be for you. The original is waiting patiently for you. That is fine.

The images have been created using AI. I would like to use videos, but it is so expensive, I will need to put this idea on hold. This is only a small channel and working to a very limited budget.
