Thoracoscpoic ablation for persistent atrial fibrillation consists of epicardial bilateral pulmonary vein isolation and clip closure of the left atrial appendage. This highly effective and very safe procedure provides excellent long term outcomes in regards to freedom of atrial fibrillation and the advantage of discontinuing oral anticoagulation due to clipping of the left atrial appendage. This patient came for a 3-Year follow-up visit and seems to be CURED of her atrial fibrillation.
