'Israeli Airstrike DEMOLISHES Local Gaza Media Outlets'

An Israeli airstrike has destroyed a high-rise building housing several media outlets, offices and apartments, including offices belonging to Associated Press and Al Jazeera.

The Associated Press said it was hit nearly an hour after the Israeli military ordered people to evacuate.

In a statement, the military said the building housed assets belonging to Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that rules Gaza.

The last six days of violence in Gaza and Israel is the worst since 2014.

On Saturday, an Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp killed 10 people, while a Palestinian rocket killed a man in Israel.

The strike reportedly killed eight children and two women from an extended family, with only a six-month old baby surviving.

It was the deadliest single strike since the battle with Gaza's militant Hamas rulers erupted this week.

In Tel Aviv, footage shows civilians running for cover as air raid sirens warn of incoming rockets.

At least 139 people have been killed in Gaza and nine in Israel since Monday.

Pro-Palestinian protests have taken place across the world on Saturday, coinciding with al-Nakba, which marks the displacement of Palestinians in the Arab-Israeli war in 1948.
