Sand Elevator in house now, but...

Here's a video of the sand elevator working inside my house now. Unforunately, I stumbled upon a hinderance in using sand/gravel... I cannot go higher than 3 blocks without hurting myself. The reason for this is because as sand falls, they do not support entities.. and on top of that, they fall slower than a player... so the player ends up inside the sand before the sand becomes solid for the player again. Oh well, at least I know now.
