Lowering Soil pH In My Lawn Without Using Sulphur

Today I finally decided it was time to start the pH adjustment my lawn needs. I am starting the season with lawn soil hovering around 6.8-6.9 and I'd like to get it down closer to 6.5 by the end of the season.

I published a video not long ago on the five main ways of lowering pH in the soil including info on when to use one over another and why certain methods are better than others and how they all work.

For this first step in lowering lawn soil pH I applied a top-dressing of peat moss over a freshly core aerated lawn and then applied a half rate of ammonium sulfate to the lawn which is an acidifying fertilizer that is water soluble and immediately plant available regardless of microbial activity or lack thereof.
