In this Pecha Kucha, Corinna Rath shares UX and interface design lessons from working on Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew at Mimimi Games, with a focus on designing for both PC and console players within a genre historically rooted in mouse-and-keyboard input.
Drawing from close collaboration with multiple departments, Corinna explores the challenges of adapting core interactions, such as movement and character contro, across input devices, while respecting player expectations and improving the overall experience. Corinna was raised in Germany and after completing her studies in Graphic Design, she did a Masters Degree in Game Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. She was working as UI and UX Designer at Mimimi Games in Munich, releasing Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, a real-time tactics game for PC and consoles in 2023.
