Memories of attending a Chanukah celebration with Chabad shortly after the 1991 collapse of USSR.
Shortly after the 1991 collapse of USSR, Rabbi Baruch Shlomo Cunin, Mordechai Ben David, Chazzan Rabbi Berel Zaltzman, Jewish singer Sandy Shmuely spent Chanukah travelling the USSR performing and bringing the joy and light of Chanukah to the Jews of the country.
This mission was instructed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who predicted that there would come a day of freedom for Russian Jews.
