Crocheting hoops with beads

The hoop rings to make the earrings are in my Etsy store in a variety of sizes. You can buy them per pair, this way it's easier to try different sizes.

This video shows you how to add beads to simple stitches like double crochet (dc). The same method can be used in other stitches. Please visit my facebook page at http://facebook.com/ayalanovelties

The most common question for this video is "how many beads do you need for the earring?" For starters, I used Miyuki Japanese Beads size 5. This brand is a bit pricey but you can find this size in other crafting places like Ebay or your local craft store. Size 6 is ok to use too. The higher the number the smaller the bead. I have on this earring 26 beads for this size metal ring in this video. I always string on extra beads when I don't really know how many foundation stitches I'm going to start with. In this video, I think I string on an extra 10 beads. That will/should leave you some extra when you finish your first earring. From the looks of your first earring, it should be able to give you an idea how many beads you are going to need for the other earring. Thanks for watching my video. Please leave any question you may have in comments and don't forget to share it!
