New 2021 Toyota Highlander - Hybrid Mid-size crossover SUV Interior & Exterior

The new Toyota Highlander (combined fuel consumption: 5.5-5.1 l / 100 km, combined CO 2 emissions: 124-116 g / km) starts at prices from 53,250 euros in Germany. The 4.95 meter long family SUV comes with seven seats as well as hybrid and all-wheel drive as standard. Customers can choose from three equipment lines and extensive accessories for further customization.

As an entry-level version, the Business Edition already offers many amenities: In addition to heated and electrically adjustable front seats, it includes 18-inch alloy wheels, parabolic LED headlights with automatic high beam, tinted rear and rear side windows from the B-pillar, a reversing camera an infotainment system with an eight-inch display and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a wireless charging cradle for smartphones as standard equipment. On colder days, the heated leather steering wheel, a windscreen de-icer and heated windscreen washer nozzles have a positive effect. The latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense, which combines various assistance systems, also creates a close-knit safety network. A blind spot warner is also included.

At the market launch, the Business Edition for commercial customers is also available in Kinto leasing at a monthly rate of 459 euros net: the term is 36 months, the mileage is limited to 10,000 kilometers per year.

The hybrid drive, which is typical of the brand, takes over the propulsion regardless of the equipment line and accessories: The combination of a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor on the front and rear axles develops a system output of 179 kW / 248 PS and ensures high efficiency. With an unladen weight of at least 2,015 kilograms, the standard consumption is just 5.1 to 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO 2 emissions of 116 to 124 g / km.

A driving mode selector allows the driver to choose between ECO, NORMAL, SPORT and TRAIL. All four modes can be used when the vehicle is in EV mode.

The GA-K platform of the Highlander features a lightweight, highly rigid body and a low center of gravity, which gives the new SUV easy handling and great highway driving comfort.

The Highlander Hybrid range starts from a price list of € 52,200 which, thanks to the Hybrid Bonus, turns into a promotional price of € 47,200 in the event of an exchange .

The offer reserved for the Lounge, the heart of the Highlander range, starts from a price list of € 58,200 and includes a promotional price of € 52,200 in case of exchange .

For the top of the range, the Executive, there is a price list of € 64,200 with an introductory price of 57,200, again in case of exchange.
