Junior World Food Day highlights

Junior World Food Day, on 5 October 2021, called on young people everywhere to take action and become food heroes. This special event took place during the education track of the World Food Forum powered by youth. Young people around the world had a conversation with food heroes – from influencers to farmers, chefs and innovators – to hear about why they choose to work with food. From listening to stories to asking questions, and singing to dancing, this event inspired the food heroes of tomorrow to get involved.
