Pole Barn Radiant Floor Slab Perimeter Insulation Ideas

Hey guys, this video shows how I am doing my Pole Barn in floor radiant heat slab insulation. Now I am doing it this way to help out my concrete guy and also to add more R-Value to the insulation. I am going to be using a Thermal Sand Bed heat storage so I just wanted the maximum amount of R -Value for the price.
The 1.5" foamboard actually fits cleaner and flush with grade boards and at the cost of around $14 for a 4x8 sheet, it is better bang for the buck as you get more R- Value then the 2" foamboard. R- Value for 2" is R-10 where the 1.5" is R-7.5 . But I am doubling it up so I get R-15.
I didn't have a bobcat and my neighbor tried using his smaller older one , but the fill is like concrete after only 2 months! So had to hand dig it and paid my nephew to help out. Hard work but teaches a good work ethic !
