The 523i was locally-assembled, and was powered by BMW's 2.5-litre N52 engine that made 201hp and 250Nm. It was mated to ZF's 8HP 8-speed automatic, one of the earliest users of this transmission model.

This particular unit at Wearnes asks for higher than market value, but it does give you peace of mind as the car went through significant repairs and restoration before being put on sale. The 523i is typically going for RM80-90k these days, but once you factor in repairs, your net expense will certainly cross the RM100k mark.
