John Lydon Accepts the 2013 BMI Icon Award (extended cut)
Broadcast Music, Inc. presented the BMI Icon Award to music legend John Lydon for his "unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers" at the 2013 BMI London Awards held October 15, 2013, at London's Dorchester Hotel. The awards ceremony also celebrated the U.K., European and Asian songwriters, producers and publishers of the most-performed songs on United States radio and television in the past year. Winning Song of the Year (The Robert S. Musel Award) for the most-performed song in the BMI catalogue on U.S. radio and television over the past twelve months were Sweden's Jörgen Elofsson (STIM) and U.S. BMI writing partner Ali Tamposi for penning the global hit "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," performed by Kelly Clarkson. Perfect Storm Music Group (STIM) and Universal Music Publishing (STIM) published the song.
