Is Curlsmith's Strength Kit Worth It Compared to Drugstore Protein Treatment?

When Curlsmith first announced their new line of products, I was extremely excited to try them out. So I bought the product with my own money and waited for it to be delivered. As soon as it was, I started filming this video to share my thoughts. Are these products worth the cost? The kit retails for $82 currently though you may be able to get it on sale for closer to $69.

In comparison, earlier this week, I filmed a video where I did a protein treatment with drugstore products.That will be posted next Tuesday. The reason I filmed that video first was because my hair was in moisture overload and wanted to try using drugstore products first to solve the issue. Then I wanted to use the Curlsmith Strength Kit to see if it could further improve my hair now that it was healthy. Do these products really make a difference on healthy hair? Because they would definitely make a difference on my hair when it was in moisture overload. Had I used this kit first, it would have made an obvious difference.

I decided to share this video with you first, however, because I was so excited about these products and I figured many of you would be too. So I wanted to give you one more opinion to help you decide if the cost is worth it.

I have not watched any other reviews by any other YouTubers or read any other reviews on Instagram. I wanted my opinion to be as unbiased as possible where these products are concerned. So join me, my wonderful wavies and curly and coily coterie as I walk you through the process of applying the Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Salve, the Feather-Light Protein Cream and the Bouncy Strength Volume Foam. Then I'll came back on day 2 to talk about how the products hold up. Did the products last for more than one day? How did they effect my curl definition? My volume?

The Curls Salve was applied to my low porosity, 2c/3a curls while damp then left in for about 30 minutes. I then cleansed with Curlsmith's Detox Kit using the Wash & Scrub to cleanse my scalp and then conditioning with the Post-biotic Calming Conditioner. I then styled with the Feather-light protein cream and the Bouncy Strength Volume Foam as my hold product, using my Denman brush to help define my curls and distribute product.

All of Curlsmith's products are cruelty free, ethically sourced, and vegan hair products with no sulfates or silicones and are curly girl method approved.
