Reset air bag light on MK6 Jetta for as little as $20

So a few videos ago, when installing my new stereo, I did not follow the instructions. This lead to me having this frustrating light come on. Would it cause my air bags not to work if its on? I'm not sure, but one thing I hate more then anything is dash lights on.
