‘Difficult issues’ in Australia-China relationship expected in years ahead
Hawker Britton Managing Director Simon Banks expects “difficult issues” between Australia and China in the years ahead.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang has reached Canberra as he continues his tour of Australia.
“Australia and China aren’t aligned on all of these issues, but our trade relationship is nonetheless the most significant one that we’ve got,” Mr Banks told Sky News Australia.
“We need to be able to improve that relationship.
“We just cannot assume that the relationship will be stable and safe. There are clearly going to be difficult issues in the relationship in the years ahead.”
