Hollywood Producer Sentenced to 146 Years to Life for Murder and Rape
Former Hollywood producer David Pearce was sentenced to 146 years to life in prison for the murders of two women and multiple sexual assault charges, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
The Conviction:
In February 2025, a jury convicted Pearce of:
- Two counts of first-degree murder
- Three counts of rape
- Additional sexual offenses

The Victims:
Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola died from drug overdoses in November 2021. Both women had fentanyl in their systems. Their bodies were dumped at separate hospitals after being drugged at Pearce's apartment.

The Evidence:
Digital surveillance footage showed Pearce and co-defendant Brandt Osborn carrying the unconscious women from Pearce's apartment to his Toyota Prius in separate trips before leaving them at two different hospitals.
Giles died shortly after arrival. Cabrales remained in a coma and died days later.

Co-Defendant:
Brandt Osborn, an actor arrested on the set of "NCIS: Los Angeles," faces charges as an accessory after the fact. His trial ended in a hung jury and he awaits retrial.
