Thames Barbel Fishing | Little Bear, the Swan and the Mixed Bag | Weird Things When Fishing

In this weeks instalment I'm fishing on the River Thames and there is only a few days left of the open season. Between arguing with swans, seeing the craziest thing I've ever seen from the bank and playing with peoples dogs I do actually get my Darent Valley Specialist rods out. Targeting the prince of the river, the Barbel using cage feeder tactics with my new Shimano reels; loaded with 10lb line, heavy feeders full of groundbait and some big hookbaits; I manage to successfully fish a flooded river and catch a few fish.
