Foot Care with Paralysis

Able-bodied I lived in manicures, pedicures and gel overlays (aka 'fake nails'). I had the time and money to take a few hours a month to do the beauty things.

There weren't any hospital staff telling me to be mindful of my toe nails as I lye paralyzed with my feet covered with hospital sheets and blankets. Little did I know the consequences of gel nail polish on extremities that no longer performed daily.
I almost lost all of my toe nails because I wasn't aware of what gel nails could do!
