Zeekr, the premium electric brand under Geely, is preparing to launch its all-new flagship SUV—the Zeekr 9X. This luxury plug-in hybrid crossover is scheduled to hit the market in the third quarter of the year.

the Zeekr 9X has been engineered to combine the luxury of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the performance of a Porsche Cayenne, and the all-terrain capability of a Range Rover.

The Zeekr 9X is a substantial SUV, measuring 5239mm in length, 2029mm in width, and 1819mm in height, with a generous 3169mm wheelbase.

Built on Zeekr’s new SEA-S architecture, the 9X pairs a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 205kW with three tri-silicon carbide electric motors, delivering a combined peak output of 1030kW.

Zeekr claims the 9X can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.1 seconds, positioning it among the fastest SUVs in the world.

The Zeekr 9X is equipped with a 70kWh battery—the largest ever fitted to a hybrid SUV—paired with a 900V electrical system. Supplied by CATL, this battery is not only significantly larger than those in most hybrid SUVs but also exceeds the capacity of many fully electric vehicles. Depending on the variant, the 9X offers an electric-only range of up to 380km on the CLTC cycle.

According to Zeekr, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in as little as nine minutes.

The 9X is equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension system, offering up to 288mm of ground clearance. It also features dual-valve continuously controlled damping and a 48V active stabiliser bar—a technology Zeekr claims is a first for a Chinese brand.
